Brachytrachelopan takes a stand

Description

A couple months back I read a post on SV-POW about how a bipedal Diplodocus isn't all that far fetched. Then I read the paper describing Deinocheirus that suggested the tall spines over the back helped to support the animal when standing so it didn't just tip over, like a cable-stayed bridge. At some point I put "diplodocids" and "tall spines" together and came to a realisation: dicraeosaurids. And one dicraeosaurid stood out in particular, everyone's favourite short-necked sauropod Brachytrachelopan.

I have no idea if all the biomechanics of plausibly bipedal diplodocids holds true for dicraeosaurids, or if the spines would actually be of use for this sort of thing, but I can't help but wonder if the relatively small, short-necked dricraeosaurid Brachytrachelopan was capable of standing and walking on two legs just fine.

Perhaps a silly idea, but I thought it was worth illustrating. This has actually been done since last November, but for some reason I never felt like uploading it. Maybe perhaps because I wasn't particularly rigorous with this one (I'm still doubtful those proportions actually match Brachytrachelopan), but I think it gets the idea across.

This feels rather rambling so I think I'll just stop the description here.
